New chain time

Today I got in 32 miles... just beating the snow.  That put me over the one hundred mark for the month.
On my way out of town I stopped by my LBS to pick up a Park Multi function tool.   While I was there, I had them check out the wear on my stock LHT chain.  It has about 3000 miles on it and as suspected..
The wear indicator said "replacement time"  so I bought a Shimano CN-HG73 (116 link) replacement.  I will put it on later.  Funny, the tires outlasted the chain..... But not by much.   The rear tire is almost bald but still going.  No flats since the Cafe-Latex was put in.    I am now a believer in that Cafe-latex.

Winter: logging miles

Winter makes logging miles hard but today it was nice enough to sneak in 10 quick miles before the snow started.

Bike Across Kansas 2010 !

Kansas Day was the date of the unveiling of the B.A.K route for 2010.   

I was hoping for a more southern route.   That would have made getting the "Starting Line"  a bit easier.  Now it looks like I will need to be riding a couple of days just to get to the start. .. oh well.  Just more riding!

The winter has cut down on the amount of miles of riding.  I was able to only get in 231 miles in January and only a few rides over 30 miles.    Better weather and more miles are coming !   Getting ready for the B.A.K. will be great.
